The Paul D. Coverdell Neuroimaging Program is conceptualized as a training program for neuroimaging researchers that benefits all members of the University of Georgia scientific community including faculty, post-doctoral fellows, and graduate and undergraduate students. With the opening of the Paul D. Coverdell Building of Biomedical and Health Sciences in April 2007, UGA boasts high-density EEG, MEG, and MRI/fMRI capabilities within the same research-dedicated neuroimaging center, the Bio-Imaging Research Center (BIRC). These distinct, yet complementary imaging techniques provide UGA investigators with resources available in very few locations nationwide. Even before the opening of the Coverdell Building, the availability of EEG, MEG, and MRI/fMRI within the community has resulted in exciting and productive collaborations. This program is made possible by funds from the John & Mary Franklin Foundation.
