Benefits of Membership Recognition of academic excellence which can be noted on resumes or CVs Opportunity to network with other psychology majors, graduate students, and professors Opportunity to publish in the Psi Chi Journal of Undergraduate Research The Psi Chi national office provides over $300,000 in awards and grants to students, faculty advisors, and chapters More: Member Benefits- Psi Chi Membership Requirements for Undergraduate Students Must be enrolled as a major or minor in a psychology program Must have completed at least 3 semesters (or equivalent) of full-time college coursework Must have completed at least 9 semester hours of psychology classes (which can include AP Psychology if you got college credit for the course) Must have at least an overall GPA of 3.3 (on a 4.0 scale) Must have at least a 3.0 psychology GPA * Points are no longer required for general membership Membership Requirements for Undergraduate Transfer Students Must meet all of the undergraduate eligibility requirements (posted above) Must have completed at least 12 semester credit hours at UGA Must have recieved 9 semester hours of psychology classes at UGA Membership Requirements for Graduate Students Must have at least a 3.3 overall GPA in all graduate coursework Must be enrolled in a graduate program in any field of psychology How to Join Psi Chi As of February 12th, 2024: the UGA Chapter of Psi Chi is no longer accepting applications.
