Welcome to the SDH Program! The doctoral program in Social, Developmental, and Health Psychology prepares students for research-intensive careers in academic, policy, industry, and other professional settings. The program emphasizes rigorous, context-sensitive science by encouraging students to consider variation across populations, critically evaluate the generalizability of research findings, and design studies that produce knowledge relevant to the communities they seek to understand. Students complete the requirements for the Master of Science degree and then advance to doctoral training leading to the Doctor of Philosophy degree. Training follows an apprenticeship model. Students work closely with a faculty advisor while developing increasing independence in research, writing, teaching, and professional development. Program Chair Katie Ehrlich - kehrlich@uga.edu
