Cognitive Neuroscience

Welcome to the Cognitive Neuroscience program

The Cognitive Neuroscience program teaches doctoral students to perform independent research that connects brain structure and function to mental processes. Faculty investigate basic and translational research questions using methods including functional neuroimaging, electroencephalography, computational modeling, and behavioral experimentation. Our area currently includes 9 researchers leading independent labs and 5 dedicated lecturers supporting rigorous graduate coursework. Students benefit from close mentorship, state-of-the-art neuroimaging facilities, and a collaborative environment that bridges multiple disciplines. Graduates pursue careers in academia, policy, and industry / biomedical neuroscience settings.
