Interested in being a part of UGA research aimed at helping older adults stay independent longer? We currently are recruiting for two different studies (below):


1) Volunteers needed for a research study on vision in older adults

Description: UGA researchers are recruiting adult volunteers between the ages of 60-70 for a study on how the brain responds to bright light and how light filtering impacts glare, comfort, and acuity.

Criteria: Between 60- 70 years old, generally good uncorrected vision (at least 20/70 uncorrected), no significant history of ocular disease, able to safely be scanned in an MRI scanner.

Notes: A cash stipend will be provided as well as a UGA souvenir!

2) Volunteers needed for a research study on physical activity and thinking

Description: UGA researchers are recruiting older adult volunteers for a study on physical activity and thinking.

Criteria: Between 65- 85 years old, right-handed, native English speakers, reasonably good health. Willing to participate in paper and pencil cognitive testing, a physical health assessment, and MRI and bone density scanning.
