The laboratory is equipped with a EGI Geodesic System 200 and a CTF Omega whole-cortex MEG system which include:

» 256-channel whole head EEG
» Omega 2000 electronics with 143-channel MEG and 64-channel EEG configured for collection in the MEG environment. This combination of techniques increases spatial resolution past that of either technology alone, allowing better source estimation.
» Multiple geodesic sensor net 200s
» Two Macintosh G4s with Apple 23" HD Cinema displays
» Dell PC running both E-prime and Presentation for  stimulus presentation
» Photogrammetry rig for quick and precise localization of sensors on the head surface
» Stimulus flags inserted into raw data files through  digital inputs on amplifier box, resulting in msec timing between stimulus presentation  and data collection
» Visible and infra-red spectrum cameras for subject monitoring inside the shielded MEG room
» Upgraded MEG head localization coils provide continuous head localization, accounting for unintended head movement, and allowing for alignment of MEG and MRI data.
» All necessary peripherals for conducting auditory, visual, and somatosensory studies
» BESA (MEGIS Software) and CURRY (Neuroscan) for analysis

 Magnetic Resonance Imaging

GE Signa HDx 3-Tesla Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) system

» Structural and functional magnetic resonance imaging is conducted at the BioImaging Research Center in the Paul D. Coverdell Center for Biomedical and Health Sciences on the UGA campus.

» Resources include equipment available through the Coverdell Center, our colleague L. Stephen Miller, and our laboratory.
» A fully functional MRI simulator complete with stimulus presentation and behavioral data acquisition computing equipment. The simulator is used to develop new protocols, train research participants, and acclimate participants to the MR environment.
» IFIS (MRI Devices) for co-ordination of stimulus presentation and data collection
» E-Prime and Presentation software for stimulus generation
» Relevant peripherals for visual stimulus presentation
» SMI IViewX MRI-LR System for recording subject pupil position in the scanner.
» AFNI, BrainVoyager and FSL software for analysis

 Ocular Motor Testing

» 500 Hz sampling of pupil position using head-mounted infrared cameras.
» In-house scoring scripts using MatLab to quantify ocular motor behavioral characteristics.
