Job Responsibilities

I work directly for our Program Head, Dr. Dorothy M. Fragaszy in Behavioral and Brain Sciences.  I am located in Room 214 of the Psychology Building.  My general duties include providing administrative support to the program head and working with confidential student records, student evaluations, student activity reports, faculty activity reports, maintaining program calendar and working with research-productive faculty with their grant budgets, pre-award paperwork and on-line grant proposals.  I communicate as necessary approved policies and procedures to faculty and graduate students and I provide advice as needed.   I serve as CAPA user to access the course syllabus system and uploads/maintains departmental syllabi on UGA syllabus system.  Each class for every semester has to have a syllabus loaded to this website.  I prepare readings for students to sign out, type university forms such as travel authority requests, travel expense statements, purchase and check requests, etc.  I communicate regularly via electronic mail.  I scan and type course evaluations and prepare presentations for poster printer.  I process bi-weekly hourly payroll for faculty with grant employees.   I maintain access to restricted animal facilities area on 6th floor and provide access when necessary.

I have worked for the Psychology Department for 16 years and have been with the University for 24.5 years.
