Job Responsibilities

I am the primary receptionist in the main office of the Psychology Department.  I serve to greet and assist Faculty, students, staff, and visitors to this department.  My general duties are bookkeeping, ordering and issuing supplies, and telephone and email communication.  I provide administrative support to the department head by assisting in special projects, correspondence, and instructional and administrative reports.  I provide assistance to the departmental accountant with processing honorariums, check requests, incoming orders and other duties as needed.  I assist faculty and graduate students with ordering textbooks and requesting desk copies from publishers, ordering and issuing classroom and media keys, assigning mailboxes, and offering other help when needed.  Other duties include processing and distributing mail, copying, scanning and faxing documents, and aiding with printing of poster presentations.  Various other tasks are performed as requested by faculty, staff, and my supervisor.

Previously, I worked in the Graduate School for 4 ½ years.  I have been with the Psychology Department since August of 2007.
