Job Responsibilities

My primary role is to serve as a full time administrative support associate to the Program Head of I/O Psychology and to 6 other I/O faculty within program. Assists program head with reports, confidential student records, calendar of meetings, events and seminars, and other duties as assigned. Communicates approved policies and procedures to faculty and graduate students. Assists multiple faculty with instructional and administrative reports (such as faculty activity reports) as well as research materials including grants, manuscripts, chapters, tables, and various reports. This position also provides backup, as needed, to the staff member housed in the main office. Maintains course content and provides updates in eLearning Commons. Provides assistance to faculty and students with eLearning Commons.

Maintains updated email distribution lists for communicating with program and department and composes/forwards messages daily regarding policies, procedures or program business.  Maintains calendar of meetings, events, and seminars for program faculty. Maintains and keeps updated records on prospective and current graduate students.Prepares travel authorities and expense statements, purchase and check requests, processes honorariums. Serves as Building Safety back-up representative for the department. This includes keeping regular updates to our building emergency action plan, and organizing and serving on our building safety committee. Scans and types course evaluations and prepares presentations for poster printer. Organizes approximately two receptions per year for prospective graduate student visitation days.  Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

I have worked for the Psychology Department since 2000, and have been with the University since 1993.
