The UGA Psychology Deparment would like to recognize and congratulate Dr. Ronald Blount, who was recently awarded the Michael C. Roberts Award for Outstanding Mentoring in Pediatric Psychology by the Society of Pediatric Psychology (SPP). This award honors faculty in pediatric psychology who mentor students in an exemplary way, providing professional advice and guidance through various training phases. In 2017 the award was renamed the Michael C. Roberts Award for Outstanding Mentorship to honor Michael Roberts whose legacy of service to SPP has been legendary, covering virtually all roles, mentoring hundreds of students and board members, developing and editing five editions of the Handbook of Pediatric Psychology and frequent service through the Council of Representatives and SPPAC.

Dr. Blount will be honored at the SPP annual conference meeting on April 5th during the Presidential Awards hour. Great work, Dr. Blount!
