David Mayfield, Ph.D. is president of Mayfield Consulting, an Atlanta based consulting business specializing in providing Industrial and Organizational Psychology based solutions to organizations. He previously held the position of Senior Manager in the Organizational Effectiveness group at The Home Depot where he designed hourly and salary selection systems, employee surveys, 360 degree feedback, and other people measurement systems. Prior to joining The Home Depot, David led the Assessment Services team at Georgia-Pacific -- a leading manufacturer and distributor of tissue, pulp, paper, packaging, building products and related chemicals with over 400 locations and 60,000 employees. David’s consulting experiences include selection, survey, and OD work with the Federal Reserve Bank, Waffle House, DuckHead Apparel, and a number of county and city Fire and Police agencies in Georgia. David earned a Ph.D. in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from the University of Georgia in 2000.
