Magnetic Resonance Imaging

» Structural and functional magnetic resonance imaging is conducted at the newly-opened BioImaging Research Center in the Paul D. Coverdell Center for Biomedical and Health Sciences on the University of Georgia campus.
» GE Signa HDx 3-Tesla Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) system
» Resources include equipment available through the Coverdell Center, our colleague L. Stephen Miller, and our laboratory.
» A fully functional MRI simulator complete with stimulus presentation and behavioral data acquisition computing equipment. The simulator is used to develop new protocols, train research participants, and acclimate participants to the MR environment.
» IFIS (MRI Devices) for co-ordination of stimulus presentation and data collection
» E-Prime and Presentation software for stimulus generation
» Relevant peripherals for visual stimulus presentation
» AFNI (Robert W. Cox), BrainVoyager (Brain Innovation) and CURRY (Neuroscan) for analysis
